Best Western Hotel Armando

Hotel Armando was chosen for its convenient, but quiet, location close to the historic centre of Verona, as it was a one day overnight stay, ending our trip to Venice and Lake Garda. The hotel staff were really welcoming and helpful. They were able and happy to facilitate an early check-in and extended our check-out time by an hour, stored our luggage and arranged airport transfer. The room was of generous proportions - more like a family room - including an extremely comfortable kingsize bed, large sofa, desk and double width ensuite shower. There were tea/coffee making facilities for which they very kindly provided fresh milk when we requested. Breakfast was a tasty continental style buffet, but included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages cereals, cold meats, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, juices, pastries, breads and hot beverages. The walk from the hotel to the Arena and historic centre was a simple, direct route, which took all of ten minutes.

Firstly the reception staff are amazing, polite, professional and very friendly wonderful warm greeting to beautiful Verona. The rooms are perfect value for money, comfortable and spacious, i would not be worried over not having a view as the city is so beautiful every corner you turn there is something new to see. The biggest plus for our stay here was the breakfast, so much choice, lovely hot coffee and staff who were so lovely and on hand, well worth the money as eating out can be pricey.

We always stay at Hotel Armando when we are in Venice. It is a nice small Hotel with very friendly & helpful staff. We have traveled to many Hotels on this trip & the Breakfast offered was best value for money on our trip. The room was a great size with a modern bathroom. Locoation is great close to the city & near the river.

Breakfast cost extra at 8 Euros but selection of food was excellent and set in a pleasant light and airy room. Coffee was particularly good. Bedroom was an adequate size. Rain forest shower in bathroom particularly good. Location was good as in a quiet side street not far from Piazza Bra.

A quiet location within easy walking distance of the major historic attractions and excellent restaurants. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and pleasant. The room was a good size with a very comfy bed and an en suite containing a superb walk in shower. Excellent buffet breakfast.
